Rechic L.L.C-FZ (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a limited liability company incorporated and registered in Meydan Free Zone. The controlling and processing of all personal data by us is governed by the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly, transparently and in compliance with all applicable data protection laws. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal data in connection the operation of our online marketplace platform that facilitates the buying and selling of pre-owned clothing and accessories in the UAE (the “Platform”).
Please read this Policy carefully. By engaging with us, providing your personal data or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

As a marketplace platform for pre-owned clothing and accessories, we do not routinely collect or process special category personal data in the ordinary course of our business. However, we may on occasion process such data where:

Please note that certain information relating to listings and completed transactions may be visible to other users of the Platform (for example, seller ratings and reviews, and details of items sold). You should exercise care in the information you choose to include in public-facing parts of your profile or listings.
As part of operating the Platform, personal data may be transferred to and stored in jurisdictions outside the UAE, for example where our cloud hosting, IT infrastructure or third-party service providers are located in other countries.
Where such transfers occur, we take appropriate steps to ensure that your personal data remains protected in accordance with the PDPL and its implementing regulations. These steps may include entering into data transfer agreements that incorporate appropriate safeguards, or relying on any adequacy decision or other mechanism recognised under the PDPL.
You may request information about the specific safeguards applicable to a particular international transfer by contacting our Privacy Contact (section 21).
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by applicable law or regulation.
At the end of the applicable retention period, personal data will be securely deleted or anonymised in accordance with our internal data retention and destruction policy. Where a legal obligation or pending legal proceedings require retention beyond the standard period, data will be retained until that obligation ceases.
We may use automated processes to personalise the user experience on the Platform, including to generate listing recommendations, tailor search results and send targeted marketing communications. These automated processes involve profiling based on your browsing history, purchase history and stated preferences.
We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals based solely on automated processing without human involvement. Where automated tools are used (for example, for fraud detection or account suspension), significant decisions are always subject to review by qualified personnel.

Please note that certain rights may be limited or restricted where data is processed for AML/CFT or legal compliance purposes, or where applicable law otherwise permits restriction.

The Platform and our communications may contain links to third-party websites, payment gateways, social media platforms or other external services. This Policy does not apply to those third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites and encourage you to review their privacy notices before providing any personal data.
We review and update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, regulatory guidance or the structure of our business. The effective date and version number at the top of this document indicate when it was last updated.
Your continued use of the Platform following notification of any changes will constitute your acknowledgement of the updated Policy.
If you have a concern or complaint about how we handle your personal data, please contact our Privacy Contact using the details in section 21. We will investigate and respond to your complaint promptly and in accordance with our internal complaints’ procedure.
If you are not satisfied with our response, or if you believe we have processed your personal data in breach of the PDPL, you have the right to lodge a complaint directly with the UAE Data Office, the supervisory authority responsible for the enforcement of the PDPL.
